When we were coming home from Queensborough recently, we noticed walls of containers stacked where a golf course used to be near the bridge approach.

In the context of New Westminster’s history, last weekend was a vitally important date. On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10 and 11, 118 years ago, this city was the scene of a massive fire that destroyed a major portion of the downtown area.

The third annual Tech Day is coming to the New Westminster Public Library. On Saturday, Sept. 24 between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. the library will transform into a technological hub.
