The Fraser River is the star of the show at this weekend’s RiverFest. RiverFest, a weeklong festival that celebrates B.C. and World River’s Day, kicks off with a shoreline cleanup in Queensborough on Sunday, Sept.

1. Enjoy an afternoon of family fun at Olivet Baptist Church’s annual Big Gig street party on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 600 block of Queens Avenue.

As summer draws to a close, staff at the kids’ area of New Westminster Public Library are busy with some tough decisions, like which image will adorn the fabulously huge cake that we will be serving up at our Summer Reading Club closing ceremony.
