An upcoming conference aims to inspire women to be as magnificent as they can be.

Francesca Anastasi is organizing the Magnificent You women’s conference, being held at Anvil Centre on Sept. 24 and 25.

“The focus is on women and personal development,” said the New Westminster resident. “We have speakers coming from all over North America for this.”

The two-day conference includes 22 speakers on themes like Embracing Your Magnificence, A Life Without Regrets, Happiness is Your Choice, Money Mind Mastery and Reclaim Success. Maureen McGrath, host of the Sunday Night Sex Show on CKNW, is the conference’s keynote speaker and will speak about The Neurochemistry of Love, Lust and Sex.

The conference also features breakout sessions on a variety of topics including personal empowerment in separation and divorce, reaching goals, the cost of clutter, finances and looking your best.

Anastasi has attended many conferences, but didn’t feel any of them “hit the mark 100 per cent” and offered enough for women.

“I have been to a ton of women’s conferences. I like to connect with other women and I like to see how other people do things,” she said. “I am always looking for the one thing, the one thing that can inspire me to do something different or better. I am hoping that with this conference, my goal is to have multiple ‘one things’ for each person. If they leave with one thing, that’s awesome, but if they can leave with multiple, that’s even better.”

A business consultant, Anastasi also runs a social enterprise that raises funds for victims of abuse through worldwide dance flash mobs. She previously operated a dance and fitness studio that included personal development and coaching services.

Anastasi selected Anvil Centre because the venue as New Westminster is centrally located in the region and is close to transit.

“I really want as many women as possible to benefit from it,” she said.
