Dear Editor: Re: Don't revive capital punishment debate, Our View, The Record, March 21, and Capital punishment makes sense, Letters to the editor, The Record, March 23.

The federal NDP has made a historic choice in Thomas Mulcair as its new leader, and it will be interesting to see how that choice affects not only B.C.'s presence in the party but also the party's strength in this province.

Dear Editor: Belated thank you to a very kind lady who stopped to help me March 5 about 8 p.m., when I fell at Eighth Street and Seventh Avenue. She offered to take me to the hospital but escorted me home at my request. Can't thank you enough. M.

We're the first to complain about wrongdoing in high places or the inefficient use of tax dollars or the frequently short-sighted decisions that come from government bodies at all levels.

Dear Editor: In response to the "Don't revive capital punishment debate" editorial (Our View, The Record, March 21) I completely disagree with the author's stance and strongly feel that the capital punishment debate should be front and centre.

Dear Editor: Re. Provincial body accepts conflict resolution, The Record, March 21. An excellent article, but one that does require some clarification for the record.

The following column was originally printed in 1993. "Sadly, learning conditions have not changed for the better; these issues are what B.C. teachers today are still standing up for," writes J. Boulanger. We don't seem to be getting through to you.

Dear Editor: Re: Want to reform the Senate? Get rid of it, Our View, The Record, March 14. Your editorial critique of the Senate is most excellent and very enlightening.

Dear Editor: I am writing this letter in regards to the turnstile upgrades being performed at Columbia Street SkyTrain station. First, I would like to say that the turnstiles are an excellent idea, and I am glad they are being implemented.
