The proverbial ping-pong pundit game provided the usual fare after the Liberals tabled their budget. NDP operatives slammed the 2.6 per cent increase in health-care spending, insisting it was a cut.

We all know housing prices have gone way up compared to a generation ago. This is especially true in B.C.'s Lower Mainland - now the most expensive place to live on the continent.

Last week, the federal Conservatives moved in a direction Canadians have yet to see them go - backwards. The government announced it would kill its much-reviled Bill C-30, better known as the Internet surveillance bill.

It seems to be very fashionable these days for folks to be opposed to all kinds of things, from pipelines to coal exports to extracting natural gas.
