It's often said that men and women seem to be from different planets, and that certainly seems to be the case when it comes to political attitudes in this province. Women in B.C.

There's been a lot of handwringing recently as many 30-somethings and 40somethings try to squeeze themselves into an ever-more expensive housing market.

Dear Editor: On Sunday afternoon, we parked our car on Sixth Street near city hall and had lunch and a short walk. We returned to our car to find that we had a $30 parking ticket on the windshield.

Dear Editor: I have called both the province and the city several times over the past few years in regards to the lack of progress with the development of the Gas Works site on 12th Street.

Last month, one of several lawsuits against movie director James Cameron was thrown out of court. Not so much thrown, actually, as fired out of a cannon at the alleged victim.

Dear Editor: I strongly agree that it would be nice if all smokers were required to confine their smoking only to those areas where non-smokers wouldn't have to breath in their second-hand smoke.

When the NDP recently revealed the B.C. Liberals' plan to sway ethnic votes in key ridings, many wondered if the cynical plot line would be tied directly to Premier Christy Clark.

A protest rally this past weekend served as another reminder that a whole bunch of New Democratic Party supporters are in for a rude awakening if their political party wins the May election.
