Dear Editor: Having the Whitecaps in New Westminster would be good for the city. Most people in the Lower Mainland simply just drive through our wonderful city. Wouldn't it be great if they stayed a while and supported local business? Just saying.

Dear Editor: Recently, I had an experience that I think needs to be shared with your readers. I witnessed one of our teachers from our POWER Program buying breakfast for a student who seemed to be in need of a proper meal.

For a woman who campaigned hard (twice) for a seat in the B.C. legislature, Premier Christy Clark sure doesn't seem to like the place very much.

The latest twist in the teachers' dispute is starting to remind us of one of those old cartoons where someone is staring up the wrong end of the barrel of a rifle and snickering, "I've got you right where I want you.
