I am writing to say that I share the sentiments expressed in the first couple lines of Jen Arbo's letter to the editor, Time for a new perspective (Sept. 17, The Record).

Dear Editor: With the new four-year term for mayor and council, it is imperative that we examine each and every candidate carefully before the election. Before voting, you need to inquire about each candidate's age and well-being.

Bravo! By all accounts the grand opening of the Anvil Centre in downtown New Westminster was spectacular.

Dear Editor: Re: We're reaping 'benefits' of long-leash policy, Editor's Letter, Pat Tracy, The Record, Aug. 22.

Dear Editor: Re: It's a two-way race - so far, The Record, Sept. 12. For the past four elections, I have voted for and publicly supported Wayne Wright for mayor.

The latest update to the state of the province's finances is a reminder of two trends that have characterized the priorities of the B.C. Liberal government since it came to power in 2001.

Zoning amendments, development permits and heritage revitalization agreements are all part of the action at next week’s public hearing. New Westminster city council will consider a number of applications at the Tuesday, Sept.

Dear Editor: The Whitecaps meeting on Saturday was a total waste of time and nothing less than a joke. No information was provided, no questions were allowed. On a sunny Saturday this farce was an insult.

Dear Editor: To be clear, I am not in favor of the Whitecaps U19 proposal. I agree with the arguments that we don't have financials or artists renderings to intelligently base our decision.
