As rivalries go, the Coquitlam Adanacs and New Westminster Salmonbellies of the B.C. Junior A Lacrosse League have something going. And its been going for a long time.

The B.C. Junior Lacrosse League playoff final is shaping up to be more interesting than many might have anticipated.

Royal City Track and Field Club finished up one of its strongest track and field seasons in its history with an outstanding performance at the 2011 B.C. Track and Field Championships in Kamloops July 22 to 24.

New Westminster Salmonbellies team captain Nenad Gajic was one of six free agents to sign with the Washington Stealth of the National Lacrosse League last week.

Local tennis players are invited to sign up in both singles and doubles for community tennis leagues, beginning Sept. 3. Players are matched with others of their skill level. All players and teams are guaranteed six matches.
