The B.C. Junior Lacrosse League playoff final is shaping up to be more interesting than many might have anticipated.

After dominating the regular season with a 24-0-0 record, the league champion Coquitlam Adanacs scraped its way back into the best-of-seven playoff final with a 6-4 win in Game 2 at Queen's Park Arena on Saturday.

The Salmonbellies got on the board first and held the A's to a 4-4 deadlock heading into the final.

Mark Negrin factored in on all four New Westminster goals, including the junior 'Bellies two first-period counters.

Negrin currently leads New West's scoring in the post season with 10 goals and 18 points.

Scigliano had another solid outing in goal for the Salmonbellies, stopping 39 shots.

The New West juniors were buoyed by the play of the defence through the first two games of the series.

"The team goal all years has been six goals (allowed)," said New Westminster defender Reid Mydske. "This is an exciting time of the year. It's a best-of-five series. We knew we weren't going to sweep these guys."

Game 3 of the playoff final is set for Monday at the Coquitlam Sports Centre. Game time is 8 p.m.
