The Simon Fraser University women's basketball team split its West Coast weekend road trip. The Clan opened with a 66-53 victory over Western Oregon last Thursday but lost its Saturday matchup in Lacey, Washington 6457 to the Saint Martin's Saints.

Major atom Bruins win Capital Cup

The Burnaby Winter Club Bruins outscored the London Junior Knights to win the AAA major atom division at the 2012 Bell Capital Cup in Gloucester, Ont. on Dec. 31.
