The New Westminster Salmonbellies announced the appointment of Sheldon Palidwor as an assistant coach with the senior A lacrosse club on Jan. 6.
Palidwor takes the place of Troy Poelzer, who stepped aside from his coaching duties. For the past two seasons, Palidwor served as an advisor to the Salmonbellies' coaching staff and executive.
Palidwor played his minor and junior lacrosse in the Royal City. In 1993, he was drafted in the first round by Vancouver and spent seven full seasons in the Western Lacrosse Association, including two seasons with the Salmonbellies.
