Former New Westminster MP Paul Forseth won't be the new president of the B.C. Conservative Party. At the party's Sept.

The New Westminster school district's controversial business company, which runs schools in China and Korea, is taking a financial hit with new rules implemented by the Chinese government.

The president of the New Westminster Teachers' Union said teachers were "stunned" and "shocked" to learn about the district's $2.8 million deficit, and he wants the district to do a better job of communicating.

The Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation is looking for donors and sponsors to help raise $1.5 million for equipment needed at the hospital. Donation Day will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 8:30 a.m.

Royal City Farmers Market will be returning a $10,000 grant to the city. The market received a $10,000 city grant that was to be used for a nutritional coupon program in New Westminster.
