Dear Editor: Re: Confessions from a Pattullo commuter, In My Opinion, The Record, May 16. I wonder if Christina Myers would change her tune if she was levied a toll every time she came through New Westminster.

It's no joke, although the timing may suggest otherwise. The B.C. Liberal government has finally got around to making good on its promise to get rid of the harmonized sales tax (HST). B.C.

The latest poll is out, and it shows the B.C. Liberals would face annihilation at the hands of the voters if an election were held today. The poll, by Angus Reid, shows the NDP has the support of 50 per cent of decided voters, while the B.C.

Brace yourselves, New West, I have a confession: I'm one of those people. One of those commuters who travels through New Westminster via the Pattullo to get to my office in Burnaby.

No orderly society is entirely free. Any community that is subject to the rule of law must give up some of its liberty. In Canada, we're free to speak our minds, but not to yell "fire" in a crowd.

Dear Editor: Re: Teachers should quit while they're ahead, Our View, May 4. If Bill 22 really did force a cooling-off period and a round of mediation, then this editorial would make sense.

Dear Editor: We are writing this letter to express our concerns regarding TransLink's plans to expand the Pattullo Bridge to six lanes. As school trustees, we have a duty to promote and protect the health and safety of our students.

It truly is a golden age, a time that will be remembered fondly for decades. Historians will write of these glory days, and bards will sing of their triumphs. Possibly with the aid of Autotune. It's the golden age of superhero movies.

Dear Editor: New Westminster has six bridges. Burnaby has none. Let's give them the Pattullo! Southeast of the Fraser has the new Golden Ears and Port Mann bridges.
