City school board keeps deficit discussions behind closed doors

Teachers and parents in New Westminster are calling for more communication and transparency, but the board of education is closing the door on publicly discussing whether to hire a consultant to prepare a report on a hefty $2.

Council will still be aired

Royal City residents will still be able to tune in to city council meetings live on Shaw Cable. In August, Shaw Cable informed the city that starting Oct. 15, it would no longer be broadcasting council meetings live from council chambers.
