The Arts Council of New Westminster is venturing into the world of Jane Austen for its next Last Mondays at the Movies presentation. The film series continues at Massey Theatre on Monday, March 27 with Whit Stillman’s Love & Friendship.

A New Westminster actor will soon be seen onstage in a new production of Valley Song. The play, originally produced at the Gateway Theatre, is running March 24 to April 8 at Pacific Theatre in Vancouver.

New West audiences have another chance to get up close and personal with top-notch musicians. The Up Close Recital Society is continuing its recital series with a second performance on Thursday, March 30 at Old Crow Coffee.

An award-winning stand-up comic who has been seen on festival stages around the world is bringing his comedy stylings to New Westminster. Ed Hill is onstage at Lafflines Comedy Club March 31 and April 1.

One of Shakespeare’s most popular plays is coming to the stage at Douglas College. The college’s departments of theatre and stagecraft are presenting A Midsummer Night’s Dream, onstage March 17 to 24 at the Laura C. Muir Performing Arts Theatre.

Monster Theatre brings A Midsummer Night's Dream to Massey Theatre

New Westminster talent is front and centre in a new cabaret performance series in Vancouver. The IMPROMPTU Cabaret Festival opened at the Havana Theatre on Commercial Drive March 1 and continues to March 12.
