Writers, here’s one for you. The Royal City Literary Arts Society is calling for submissions for its 2018 Write On! contest. The contest is open until April 1, and winners will be announced April 30.

An art exhibition exploring the ways colonization has influenced First Nations identity is opening soon at the Gallery at Queen’s Park. Manuel Axel Strain’s Mutations runs at the Arts Council of New Westminster’s gallery from Feb. 7 to 25.

Two New Westminster musicians are set to perform in the next Live at the Gallery show at Deer Lake Gallery. The Burnaby gallery hosts monthly live music events on Friday nights, and the next one is coming up on Friday, Feb. 9.
