Rick Page has retired after nearly a decade in one of the top spots at city hall. Page, the city’s director of legislative services, officially retired on May 30. He had worked as the city clerk since April 2005.

Crowds lined the streets of New Westminster for the ever-popular Hyack International Parade. While another commitment prevented me from attending the parade, I’ve heard plenty of positive reports from folks who went to the annual event.

Entertainment options abound this weekend in New Westminster, so there’s no reason to stay at home.

Question: Our camellia is developing a black powdery substance on its leaves. This rubs off but is even discolouring the side of the house and the neighbouring rhododendron.
