Dear Editor: I just wanted to send in a letter of support for the new Q2Q ferry service between Port Royal and the New West waterfront. The ride is quick, the crew was great, and the convenience of easier access to Quayside can’t be stressed enough.

Dear Editor: I’ve lived in New West for over 24 years, Sapperton for 14 and agree Sapperton Park needed an update. (I’m glad the huge tires were removed; I’ve seen little feet get jammed in between the tires and difficult to get out).

We have to admit, our first response to hearing the criticism over accessibility issues on the new Q2Q ferry was a big, heavy sigh.

The resiliency and strength of the pact between the NDP and the B.C. Green Party that allows the New Democrats to hold power will likely be sorely tested this fall, and it won’t be over political fundraising.

If my reaction to Christy Clark leaving politics were a Facebook relationship status, it would be two simple words: “It’s complicated.

Dear Editor: My wife and I were very impressed with the ferry run between Port Royal and the Quay. It only takes 10 minutes. Let’s make it a regular part of our transportation system in New Westminster.

Dear Editor: The last time a major sports and recreation facility was built in New Westminster was back in 1972. Popular on TV in those days was All in the Family , and Sammy Davis Junior’s Candyman was a hit on the charts.

Christy Clark’s sudden and unexpected resignation as both party leader and MLA gives the B.C. Liberals an early chance at renewal and rebranding, but it also strengthens the NDP’s grip on power.

We didn’t think we’d find ourselves saying this – at least not quite so soon – but British Columbians actually have good reason to miss Christy Clark.
