Dear Editor: Regarding the Front Street Parkade, I must confess to have done a complete flip on this one. Many years ago I hated the parkade; to me it looked like a monument to the ’50s car culture.

Dear Editor: As New West expands and towers rise up, council needs to consider more of the amenities that make a city livable and attractive to families.

Dear Editor: As a longtime New West resident, I have to admit that I am not surprised at all by the travails of the residents suffering from increased traffic on Alberta Street.

We've all seen them - or, more accurately, been stuck behind them - as they blissfully cruise down Highway 1 or the Lougheed Highway in the fast line, with cars and trucks piling up behind.

Change is in the air at New Westminster city council meetings. Shortly after being elected in November’s civic election, Mayor Jonathan Cote proposed that council eliminate the “council reports section” of the council agenda.
