Who is the best prime minister? Not the best for right now – our votes on Monday should answer that uneasy question – but who is the best Canadian prime minister ever? The question had never really occurred to me until last week.

Like Seinfeld, this election is a show about nothing

British Columbia will never get more than a few crumbs from the huge potential settlement being discussed in the U.S. over drug companies’ culpability for the opioid epidemic.

Driving home from school pickup on Friday afternoon, my oldest daughter asked me who I was going to vote for in the federal election and I hesitated to respond.

Editor: Are you sure Jagmeet Singh is a politician? He is charming, real, and intelligent; not to mention fit. He looks like the buff Aquaman Jason Momoa with his hair down. Even Drake and Rihanna are among his followers on social media.

As you watch (hopefully on Global!) the election returns on Oct. 21, it may be worth remembering how the last B.C. provincial election unfolded and the lessons learned from the eventual result.
