Re: It’s time to leave behind ‘archaic’ New West names

I believe we should consult with First Nations elders in the area of New Westminster and seek advice from them what new names we could use for streets, landmarks and other places.

They will be able to tell us, for example, the name of an important figure in their local history that we could use instead of celebrating the despicable Judge Begbie by naming a street after him.

If we seek their advice, I am sure we can learn much from them.
