Michelle Toor of Burnaby opened the scoring in the second minute of the first period to help the Fraser Valley Phantom down the Richmond Ravens 4-1 in its best-of-three B.C. female midget AAA hockey semifinal at the Langley Events Centre on March 23.

Burnaby Mountain Wrestling Club dominated the men's team aggregate at the junior and senior Canadian championships in Fredericton, N.B. on March 23. The Burnaby Mountain women also garnered a third-place team medal at the senior nationals.

Burnaby South Rebels Dejan Posavljak was the top shooter among starting players at the recent B.C. high school AAA boys' basketball championships in Langley. The 6-6 Posavljak registered a 74.

New Westminster's Tyler Digby was named co-player of the week for Robert Morris University in Northeast Conference field lacrosse on March 18.
