ON NOW To Saturday, June 24 Hamlet, presented by Sandbox Theatre Productions at the Vancity Cultch Lab, 1895 Venables St., Vancouver, starring New West actor Kurtis Maguire as Hamlet, with shows at 7:30 p.m. June 9, 10, 14 to 17, and 21 to 24.

You’re invited on a musical journey with VanDeca. The a cappella ensemble is offering up a concert on Saturday, June 10 at the Anvil Centre Theatre. Our Journeys is the final concert in the group’s 2016/17 season.

The Gallery at Queen’s Park played host to a pop-up exhibition by some local VIPs this past weekend. The gallery hosted an exhibition called Mother Earth, Father Sky, featuring the work of students from Queen’s Park Preschool.

A new art exhibition at Plaskett Gallery is challenging our preconceived notions of mothers and women. La Mère/Idyll, by artist Suzanne Klassen, is on at the gallery from June 1 to 30. An opening reception is set for Saturday, June 3 from 2 to 4 p.m.
