Organizers of New Westminster Secondary School’s annual dry grad celebration are trying something a little different when it comes to fundraising this year. Dry grad is a supervised, parent-sponsored, drug- and alcohol-free event for graduates.

In early February 1888, a travelling group of entertainers was in New Westminster for two days of dramatic performances.

There were a couple of special events planned by two prominent local groups here in New Westminster toward the end of January 1888. One was for the Hyack Fire Brigade and the other a fundraiser for the building of the Holy Trinity Church bell tower.
