Queensborough Middle School hit by COVID-19 exposure

Queensoborough Middle School has just seen its fourth COVID-19 exposure of 2021.

Someone with COVID-19 was at the school on April 19 and 20, according to information newly posted on the Fraser Health school exposures site. The middle school has not seen an exposure notice since February, when families received two in quick succession – including one that led to a self-monitor notice for the entire school.

The latest notice brings to 12 the total of exposures in the New Westminster school district since the Easter long weekend. 

Several district schools, however, remain relatively unaffected by COVID-19. A number of elementary schools (including F.W. Howay, Lord Kelvin and Queen Elizabeth) have seen only one exposure apiece since the winter break, while Lord Tweedsmuir has not yet been affected in 2021. Connaught Heights has yet to receive an exposure notice in the entire 2020/21 school year.

Below is a list of all the exposure dates at district schools since classes returned from winter break.
