The good news? Exposure notifications are coming quickly. The bad news? New Westminster schools aren't quite done with COVID-19 exposure notices yet.
Two more School District 40 notifications were added to the Fraser Health school exposures site this morning.
A June 7 and 10 exposure at New Westminster Secondary School follows on the heels of a June 8 exposure posted yesterday. Today's other notice involves Fraser River Middle School, where someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 was at school on June 11. Families received notification of both exposures on June 14, just a few days after the actual exposures occurred.
Exposures in local schools have been trending down since the latter half of May. Here's how exposures have looked at New West's schools since the winter break:
