You might want to run outside right now and bask in that sunshine over New Westminster — because you may not see a lot of it over the coming week.
Though today is expected to hit a high of 24 C under sunny skies in New West, the Weatherhood local forecast shows a distinct downturn starting this weekend — coinciding with the official arrival of fall at 11:50 p.m. tonight (Friday, Sept. 22).
Saturday's expected to see clouds and showers (with a bit of sunshine), with rain in the overnight hours into Sunday. The weekend will remain warmish, however, with highs of 18 C expected both days.
Come Monday, the week is expected to take a turn for the cooler — and the wetter, with as much as 15 mm of rain expected Monday, and highs of just 15 C.
Tuesday could see more than 20 mm of rain, with highs of just 12 C, while Wednesday could see up to 14 mm of rain and a high of 15 C.
