We often hear that what people love most about New Westminster is that it maintains that "small-town" feeling. And it's true.

The bad news just keeps accumulating for Premier Christy Clark and the B.C. Liberals, and there's little to suggest that pattern is going to change in their favour anytime soon.

Dear Editor: Recently there has been a lot of coverage in the local papers about the city's plan to borrow money for the completion of the civic centre and office tower building in the downtown core.

Dear Editor: I understand that, effective immediately, a person is allowed to bring one's own bottle of wine to a restaurant to be consumed with a meal. I am afraid Mr. Rich Coleman made a huge mistake.

Dear Editor: In light of the recent happenings at city hall regarding the $59-million loan from city reserves to support various city projects, I would like to offer my analysis.

Dear Editor: Wow - thanks to the media, the truth about our special interest mayor, councillors and some city staff is coming to light.

Yikes. It's not often that a bureaucrat comes out with such a harsh rebuke as when auditor general John Doyle came out with his report last week calling provincial finances a mess and provincial bookkeeping "woefully inadequate.
