Dear Editor: Thank you for your opinion piece re: National Peacekeepers Day (Lest we forget to honour the peacekeepers, Our View, The Record, Aug. 9). Your article has made me consider my relationship with "the military" (and guns) over my lifetime.

It's the silly season in news, so it's no surprise that everyone on the planet heard about the Great Fatberg of London about five minutes after it was discovered.

Who is running the show at TransLink? It's certainly not taxpayers or transit riders.
