An organization entrusted to run several of the city's premier celebrations is in deep trouble. So deep that we don't think it is able to dig itself out. We don't know when precisely it all went off the rails.

Now that Adrian Dix has finally decided he's not going to lead the NDP into the next election, the party can get on with healing its internal divisions and trying to figure out just what kind of entity it really is.

Re: Coal study plan draws criticisms, The Record, Sept. 18. You may be thinking that concerns over the Surrey Fraser coal port are just about shipping filthy coal around B.C.
