Dear Editor: On Sunday, Jan. 29, I developed a severe pain in my chest. My wife phoned 911.

Dear Editor: It is disappointing, to say the least, that poor Brad Eyres will not be allowed to set up a retro-style arcade in our fair city. Much has changed in the almost 20 years since the city has restricted these entertaining destinations.

There were plenty of tears and laughter (and some relief) on hand last week as 14 MLAs spent their last day on the job in the provincial legislature.

During the last two weeks we, and the citizens of B.C., have been deluged by government announcements on everything from Sparwood infrastructure improvements to Uber. There really seems to be something for everyone.

Dear Editor: I was extremely disappointed to read the heel-dragging taking place within city hall regarding the proposed arcade.

Dear Editor: I read the comments from the leader of the Green Party on his recent visit to New Westminster with interest.

While our two main provincial parties continue to snipe at each other on a daily basis, they both may want to glance over their shoulders at something that may prove to be a significant factor in how either of those parties fare on Election Day.

Dear Editor: It is time to put an end to the deceit, half truths and shady politics of Christy Clark and her entourage.

Dear Editor: Although I am not transgendered, I am a woman. I use the very same washrooms that New West Community Church pastor Paul Dirks is so concerned about. Let’s get real.

It’s hard to shake a bad reputation. Ask anybody who got drunk at their prom or streaked across the stadium during playoffs. So, it’s no surprise that New West still has a bad rep from the old days. The 1980s and ’90s in this city were pretty rough.
