Dear Editor: An open letter to New Westminster city council: I am writing to express my concerns regarding the Whitecaps proposal to transform Queen's Park Stadium into a dedicated soccer venue that would become the home pitch for a USL Division 1 so

Dear Editor: Having the Whitecaps in New Westminster would be good for the city. Most people in the Lower Mainland simply just drive through our wonderful city. Wouldn't it be great if they stayed a while and supported local business? Just saying.

Dear Editor: Re: Soccer plan would save the stadium, The Record, Sept. 5. I am concerned with sudden declarations that the Queen's Park Stadium is going the way of the buffalo and that the soccer plan would save it.

Dear Editor: It's disturbing to hear our city officials refer to the "deteriorated" condition of the Queen's Park Stadium.

Dear Editor: Recently, I had an experience that I think needs to be shared with your readers. I witnessed one of our teachers from our POWER Program buying breakfast for a student who seemed to be in need of a proper meal.

For a woman who campaigned hard (twice) for a seat in the B.C. legislature, Premier Christy Clark sure doesn't seem to like the place very much.

The latest twist in the teachers' dispute is starting to remind us of one of those old cartoons where someone is staring up the wrong end of the barrel of a rifle and snickering, "I've got you right where I want you.

Dear Editor: I read with interest the proposal and various letters about the Whitecaps' USL team and the stadium at Queen's Park.

Dear Editor: I have been following the Whitecaps USL proposal very closely. Being a lifelong sports fan, I was initially excited at the thought of our city getting another sports team.
