The Editor, When the peaceful protesters were attacked with batons, tear gas and rubber bullets the day after the killing of George Floyd , the stage was set for the nationwide protests to follow.

Kudos to Adrian Dix for the Ministry of Health’s February announcement that it was cancelling the Delta Hospice Society’s lease, allowing Fraser Health to take control of Irene Thomas Hospice next February.

Editor: Has anyone else noticed how loud the sky train is in New Westminster? We have lived in our condo for 19 years and this year is the worst for excessive noise.

Sara Fox, 62, teaches grade 3-4 in a small public school at Connaught Elementary School New Westminster. On March 13, Fox’s 23 students hustled out the classroom door to start their two-week spring break.

Editor: For return to school in the fall, the government and school districts need a new approach. The COVID-19 pandemic will be with us for at least another 18 months and that's if there is a speedy and effective vaccine.
