Women of colour are empowered but do not receive the same airtime as white women.
Diversity is like sprinkles on a cake – you can add as little or as much as you would like, even opting for none at all. Representation is being an essential ingredient of the cake.
In this civic election, I finally feel “seen” on the voting ballot. Everyone deserves to be represented in their communities.
