Absolutely we need more cultural/entertainment/social outings in New West! Being a young family of mixed immigrants and seeing such a beautiful diversity here, we should celebrate it and have as many events as possible! And please, not just in summer. It gets so boring in fall/winter.

We need to have events for people to get out there and socialize. I see so many people being stuck and depressed in their apartments, caught up in the rat race.

Yes, life has become very expensive, and even more so we need to go and meet up with people, make friends, rest, vent, have fun and get a bit happier! Music festivals, dance parties, multicultural events, family hangouts, kids' parties, art exhibitions etc. I would love to see all this in New West!

I just returned from a visit to Nelson, population 11,400. It made me realize what an utterly boring city New Westminster is. They have managed to keep an amazing community spirit, so much going on.
