Letter: Come on, New West, we need a personality

Where is all the fun and street entertainment?

The Belmont parklet in uptown New West is one of the spots that could use some busking and entertainment, this reader says.

Editor:

I am writing to express my disappointment that there isn't any entertainment in this beautiful city.

Where are the buskers playing music on Columbia Street, New West and Columbia stations or in Columbia Square mall? How about a little music at Quay market and the parklet on Sixth Street? (By the way, who made the decision to paint the parklet floor those ugly colours? Give me a break!)

We also need people who can juggle and perform other circus like entertainment. What about stupid pet tricks? What happened to the Front Street Friday night social?

Come on, New Westminster. We need a personality! Just be happy and smile a little bit, eh?
