Last year, the province announced a $1.35 billion, three-phase expansion for Royal Columbian Hospital, with the 75-bed Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness centre already under construction.

The Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation has created a COVID-19 Response Fund to cover the costs of a variety of things like food, accommodation, and transportation for front-line healthcare providers during this demanding time.

“We are working closely with the hospital to identify and meet additional needs as they arise,” said a news release.

You can donate here and also post a positive message that can be shared with the staff.

“As they manage through the additional challenge presented by COVID-19, we know hearing words of support from our community does make a difference.”
