The Royal City Hyacks got off to a roaring start in three separte divisions in the Lower Mainland community football league. The junior bantam Hyacks opened with a 27-6 win over the Richmond Raiders at Minoru Park on Sunday.

The man with the golden arm added two more national honours to his armwrestling resumé. Anthony Dall'Antonia of Burnaby won his 10th and 11th titles at the Canadian National Armwrestling Championships in Ottawa over the Labour Day weekend.
