The New Westminster Salmonbellies added the top two scorers in the B.C. Junior Lacrosse League to its already productive lineup.

The New Westminster Salmonbellies tuned up for a first-place clash with Coquitlam on Saturday with a 12-8 win over Port Coquitlam. The junior A Salmonbellies spotted the Saints a 3-0 first-period lead at the Poco rec centre last Friday.

Murray Lehman will be honoured for his 2012 induction into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame at a junior A lacrosse game next week.

The New Westminster Salmonbellies are ready for the fray. The junior A lacrosse club wore down the Delta Islanders in the trenches and then blitzed the visitors 6-2 in the final period en route to a 10-4 victory at Queen's Park Arena on Tuesday.

Good things come to those who wait. Even better things happen to those who use that time to improve themselves. That certainly appears to be the case for the New Westminster Salmonbellies current No. 1 keeper Neil Tyacke.
