Baby marmot in New Westminster

It's marmot madness around the region lately. Earlier this week, a photo of a baby marmot that had been captured by a local resident and handed over to the Wildlife Rescue Association of B.C. in Burnaby ran in the Record.

Baby marmot discovered in city

Royal City residents are used to raccoons, skunks and even, from time to time, coyotes, but it's possible that another furry creature could be making a home here. A baby marmot was found on Richmond Street at the end of June by an area resident.
