Stand-up comedy
Dive into this weekend with a comedy show featuring stand-up comic Josh Blue. Blue has previously been featured in the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, honoured at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal and emerged winner at NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2006.
A comic who happens to have cerebral palsy, Blue's comedy breaks down stereotypes of people with disabilities.

Mushtari Begum Festival
The festival, which has been celebrating Indian classical music and dance for over a decade, is back for its 12th edition in the city.
The annual Mushtari Begum Festival will feature vocalist Kamaljeet Gill, kathak/harmonium artist Amika Kushwaha, ghazal/tabla artist Cassius Khan, and Pandit Salil Bhatt who will play a 21-stringed instrument called the satvik veena at the show.

Black Women Business Exhibit
Here’s a chance to celebrate and support Black women entrepreneurs of Greater Vancouver at New Westminster's Anvil Centre.
The second annual Black Women Exhibit will feature more than 50 Black women-owned businesses — from fashion and clothing to health and wellness products, food retail and more.
That apart, attendees will also get a chance to attend workshops on how to transform a business idea into actionable plans.

New Media Gallery show
A new exhibition takes a deep dive on how we measure time, light, colours, seasons and movement of celestial bodies.
Called Measure, the exhibition — featuring works of seven artists from around the world — opens with a panel discussion that will have experts from the fields of both art and science discuss how we measure and track the movements of our perceived world through space and time.

RiverFest 2023
RiverFest 2023, presented by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, is back with live entertainment, a family fun zone, the popular Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade and more.
The four day fest, which kick-started on Wednesday, Sept. 20, will continue into the weekend featuring a ton of activities — all aimed at celebrating the environmental, economic and social-cultural importance of the Fraser River.
