Police seeking suspect after multiple indecent acts outside Metro Vancouver school (VIDEO)

He's been seen there four times.

Surrey RCMP are looking to the public for help finding a suspect in a series of indecent acts near a local high school.

On March 2 police received reports of a man hiding in bushes near Princess Margaret Secondary School in the Newton neighbourhood of Surrey. Witnesses told Mounties the man was exposing and touching himself in a stand of trees south of the school before classes started.

It wasn't the first time, apparently.

"Although this is the first report to police, the suspect was observed in the same area, doing the same thing on three separate occasions in 2022 and once in 2021. All incidents occurred in the morning between 8:20 to 8:30 a.m.," the RCMP says in a press release.

An investigation has been opened and police are working with a forensic sketch artist.

"We understand that the close proximity to the school raises concerns," says Corp. Vanessa Munn. "We want the public to know that Surrey RCMP is actively investigating these incidents as well as liaising with Surrey School District as the safety of students and members of our community is paramount."

Police say the suspect is a South Asian man around 30 to 40 years old. He has an average build and stands about 5'10". He has a medium complexion with dark hair, facial stubble, and a moustache.

Anyone who has information is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 1-604-599-0502.
