DriveBC says Highway 97 north of Prince George has slightly reopened after a multi-vehicle collision closed it for several hours.
Before 8 a.m. today (Feb. 18), the provincial service reported crews were on scene tending to the incident between Old Summit Lake and Edric Roads, near Salmon Valley, and that a vehicle recovery was in the works.
Around 8:30 a.m., Prince George RCMP confirmed a two-vehicle collision took place.
It's unclear if there were any injuries from the incident.
DriveBC is anticipating the highway to be fully open by 5 p.m. tonight.

A collision north of Prince George this morning (Feb. 18) is set to cause a long delay for commuters.
RCMP explain a two-vehicle incident has closed Highway 97 near Salmon Valley, reducing traffic to single-lane alternating.
DriveBC is additionally reporting a vehicle recovery between Old Summit Lake Road and Edric Road, less than 20 km north of downtown Prince George.
The provincial services is currently estimating 1 p.m. as the time of reopening.
Emergency crews are on scene tending to the situation and drivers are asked to obey traffic control if you're travelling near Salmon Valley.
