The Arts Council of New Westminster is branching out into the city. The arts council has opened up a satellite gallery by taking over the community arts space at the Vancity community branch in uptown New Westminster.

It will be a family affair when the Royal City Youth Ballet’s Nutcracker takes to the stage at Massey Theatre next Monday. The 27 th annual production is onstage Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Choral music fans don’t need to venture far to hear from one of the country’s best vocal ensembles. musica intima is bringing its Christmas concert, A Christmas Story, back to New Westminster on Dec. 15. The Tuesday evening concert is at 7:30 p.m.

It’s not Christmas until you’ve heard at least one choir singing – and I have just the one for you. New Westminster’s own Amabilis Singers are offering up Christmas Joy on Saturday, Dec. 5.
