Crooner Tony Barton takes to the stage for a big band Christmas show in New West

ON NOW To Friday, December 9 Fire Ball, an exhibition of work presented by Inclusion B.C. Foundation, featuring the work of artists with intellectual disabilities, running at the Anvil Centre Community Art Space, 777 Columbia St., New Westminster.

Two New Westminster actors are taking featured roles in the Arts Club Theatre Company’s holiday musical. The Arts Club is staging Mary Poppins, running Dec. 3 to Jan. 1 at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage.

Music and dance lessons are good for kids.

Hands up, everyone who’s in the Christmas spirit. If your hand is still down, never fear: the Vivo Children’s Choir can cure you in a hurry. The choir is presenting its holiday concert, One December Bright and Clear, on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2:30 p.m.

Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say, throw cares away … Yes, Christmas is in the air, and so are the sweet sounds of handbell choirs.

They’re some of the greatest rock’n’roll stars of all time, and they’re hitting the stage in a special Christmas show at Massey Theatre. A Rock’n’Roll Christmas is on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
