Calling all New Westminster film fans and movie mavens.
The New Westminster Film Society is hosting a fundraising movie trivia night on Tuesday (June 21) at 7 p.m. at Begbie’s pub downtown.
Teams of four can put their knowledge of the silver screen to the test to win cash prizes, with money available for the first-, second- and third-place teams. There will also be a silent auction.
Entry is $20 per team, with teams of up to four people; buy through Eventbrite.
Judge Begbie’s Tavern is at 609 Columbia St.
The New West Film Society is a non -profit organization that brings film aficionados together to share their love of film with the community. The group’s signature event is its October film festival, held annually. The festival returned to a live, in-person format in 2021 after going virtual because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s currently accepting submissions for New West Film Fest 2022, which will run from Oct. 21 to 23.
