A 12-year-old New Westminster boy got a taste of the spotlight Monday when his winning design for an anti-gang campaign vehicle was unveiled.

Let’s all take a moment to recognize how inspiring students at New Westminster Secondary School are. Since April, the NWSS Environment Club has been meeting with kids at Lord Kelvin Elementary School to teach them about food sustainability.

1. Head to Sapperton for the 2016 Sapperton Day Street Festival, taking place in the 400 block of East Columbia Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event gets started with a pancake breakfast at 10 a.m.
