You can test your knowledge – and help Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation at the same time.
Community members are invited to participate in a night of trivia and fun from the comforts of home at the third Virtual Trivial Night. The fundraiser for the Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation is on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m.
Tuning into the Virtual Trivia Game is simple,” said a notice about the fundraiser. “The live game link will be sent to your email, no app download is necessary, just click and play.”
Tickets are $20 and are available at www.eventbrite.ca (search for QPHF Trivia Night Fundraiser). Money raised at the event will help to provide rehabilitation for patients on their journey to recovery and supportive care for seniors who are no longer able to live at home.
What’s up for grabs? The first prize is $500, second prize is $250 and third prize is a one night’s stay at the Inn at the Quay.
Free photos for a cause
Two local organizations are teaming up to spread some holiday cheer for a local cause.
The New Westminster Chamber of Commerce and Live Well Exercise Clinic New West are hosting a picture day on Sunday, Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Register and have free, professional photos taken of you, your family and friends,” said a notice about the event. “Donations are welcome to Bases Family Thrift Store that supports schools in New West and Burnaby. Bring your holiday cheer.”
You can register for a 10-minute photography session by emailing newwest@livewellclinic.ca. Photos will be taken at the Live Well Exercise Clinic at #260 505 Sixth Ave.
