While some COVID-19 restrictions are beginning to lift, Century House is still offering online programming for New West seniors.

New West seniors in search of some inspiration or a new skill may want to check out online programs - including a cooking and baking program.

Century House continues to offer a variety of programs virtually on Zoom.

Virtual Cooking Connections: Cooking and Baking with Seniors is a three-session program that’s being facilitated by the Food Skills for Families program. Participants in the online cooking class will receive a $25 gift card at Save-On-Foods to buy the groceries needed for this program.

A limited number of spaces are available for this program, and participants must commit to attending all three sessions. The sessions are on Thursday, July 8, 15 and 22 from 10 to 11 a.m.

“Each participant receives a program handbook and a grocery gift card to purchase the session’s recipe ingredients,” said a notice about the program. “Get ready to cook and bake alongside everyone in the comfort of your own kitchen! Meet new people and make delicious healthy food together. Virtual fun in the kitchen!”

After being approved for registration, participants will be contacted to pick up their handbook and grocery card at Century House. To register, go to www.tinyurl.com/CHCookingConnections.
